Most of the shades established in Tables I and II are now manufactured in ready-mixed form.  When such supplies are unobtainable it will be necessary to mix in accordance with the mixture tables.  In that case the accuracy of the desired shade should be checked against standard Navy paint samples rather than matched to the colored illustrations.

Tables I and II contain certain colors not previously established.  Color ships have been prepared of the new shades which are called for in the camouflage patterns of this supplement and will accompany the book.  These color chips include Pale Gray (5-P), Light Gray (5-L), Deck Blue (20-B), Haze Green (5-HG), Ocean Green (5-OG), Navy Green (5-NG), and Deck Green (20-G).
